summary

Make right choices knowing that God has the final word in everything you plan. Also know that He will do what is best for you and what brings glory to Him. You may not think it best at the moment, but trust Him. He might let you go through pain and suffering for a moment in time, but He knows the end results. He knows what you’re going through and He's with you to the end. God knows your future and you can trust that He knows what you need in your life for each moment.

The final word is His. Trust Him as your God and Savior to carry you through this life into the next ... well.

summary

Abraham, Jesus' Apostles, those in the upper room on the day of Pentecost, and thousands since discovered the joy of serving Him in the face of severe persecution. They knew the short time of suffering in this life is nothing compared to the reward they receive in following God. It’s time to choose which side you will live on - His or the world’s. One leads to eternal life, one leads to never ending death and destruction. I think it’s an easy choice. His followers know they made the right choice.

Which path will you follow? Time is running out to decide.

summary

Do you know some one that needs God in their life? I’m giving you a mission. Proclaim God to that person. You don’t need to preach. You don’t need to know the Five Spiritual Laws. You don’t need to memorize five books of the Bible before you talk to him or her. I just want you to tell them one thing you know God did for you this week. That’s it. Just in conversation, tell them, “You know what God did for me this week? He…”

summary

Many times God's children settle for forgiveness of their sins and stop in their spiritual journey with Him. They never explore the abundant life He talked about giving you. It doesn’t come with just forgiveness. It comes with letting Him take charge. It comes with resting in God and knowing that He make the decisions for you when you live by His Spirit living in you.

Living in the Spirit means dying to the oppressive desires of the flesh and living according to the impulses of His demands. Saying yes to Him, not to your fleshly desires. Some will say it’s not possible, but Peter, Paul, James, John and so many since them found God's promises true. He told them to be holy. To live by the Spirit. To let His Spirit be the controlling influence in their lives…and they did.

summary

Wisdom is such an important quality to obtain but so few possess it. Those who declare they have wisdom usually don’t and those who thirst for it and seek it with their whole being usually have more than they think they do. Wisdom eludes many because they fail to work hard enough to obtain it. They just sit back and let life roll over them without a care in the world and take whatever life brings. No plans. No provision for the future. No expectation of anything other than come what may.

summary

Still having trouble with your choice? I dare you to make a list of the pros and cons of each choice, following God or being in control of yourself. See how your assets and liabilities fall out. See what benefits you gain from God or from your selfish path. Discover what you can do on your own or what you can do by following His advice. Be honest in your appraisal, though. Remember to take into account what you can really control versus what He controls as you make your assessments. You really don't control much.

summary

It’s good to stop and contemplate just what God has done for you every once in a while. What you could not do for yourself, He did for you. It was impossible for you to make yourself right with Him. Nothing you could do could cleanse you from the sin embedded deep within your soul. You thought evil thoughts. You committed evil deeds. You bent toward evil all the time. Your selfish nature sprang out from everywhere. Nothing you could do could stop it because you inherited that trait from your parents from the time of Adam and Eve.

summary

I wonder what happens to people’s brains to think that these objects made from their hands have any power in them. How can these pieces of wood, stone, silver, or gold molded into some image do them any good? Can sightless eyes see the trouble you have or the enemies you face? Can ears that do not hear understand the cries of your heart or hear your prayers as you plead for mercy or ask for grace in your times of trouble? Can a statue of wood or stone extend a tender heart and show compassion when you need it?

Today, we say we have become more civil, though. We no longer have idols, but don’t we? Look around and see what has replaced God in our praise and worship. Sports fields fill with cries of praise instead of churches being filled with praise. We sit in front of screens for entertainment instead of reading His word and learning of God or building our relationship with Him. We walk past the hungry and the needy without thought of helping.

summary

God created all humankind. He is the God of everyone and everything. Whether they want to believe it or not doesn’t matter, it’s still true. Christians and Jews will sometimes acknowledge they serve the same God, but too often exclude everyone else from their thought process and dismiss the rest of the world as unworthy of Him. But stop and look around. Who created them. Who will save them if not God? And who will introduce them to Him if not us? He is their God. But for many of them, He needs an introduction. They haven’t heard His story. They haven’t seen the evidence of His Spirit truly alive and at work in men and women sold out to Him. Will you do it?
