Some might wonder why details like the long list of equipment and furnishings for the tabernacle are included in scripture. The begats that seem to go on forever sometimes might seem boring to you. But there is a reason all those details are there. First, it helped the Israelites focus on the One, True, Living God instead of the multitude of idols and icons that surrounded them among the pagan nations. Second, the detail shows I'm a God of order and design, not one of chaos and haphazard events. Finally, the detail, shows God had a plan then and assures you God has a plan now.
