A daily devotional through the Bible speaking with God as Adam and Eve may have in the garden east of Eden. Our website http://alittlewalkwithgod.com

<h2>summary</h2>

Stephen is remembered as one of the first martyrs for Christ. He certainly isn't the last. Many in America think they feel persecuted with prayer taken out of schools, bans on Bibles at work places, the Ten Commandments being removed from public places, etc. Americans do not know persecution. However, Christians around the world are facing real persecution. And where real persecution is taking place, the church grows exponentially. Why? Because in the face of those who live and die for Christ, those giving up everything for their faith, the people around them see joy! Peace! Fulfillment! Freedom! The tormentors do not understand the peace that comes to the persecuted. They do not understand how they can stand on their faith in face suffering. But when they see it they want it. Persecution will increase. But real Christians need not fear it. God will never leave us or forsake us. He will be with us all the way.
