summary

It would be easy to say all of Jesus' wisdom came from the God side of Him, but that is only half the story. Jesus was completely God, but also completely Man. His mother, Mary, and His earthly father, Joseph, made sure Jesus knew His real heritage from an early age and made sure the scriptures were available to Him. Joseph would read to Him often from the Law and the Prophets before He could read and Mary would help Him memorize long passages of scripture as a young boy.

Jesus would spend time meditating on what those scriptures meant and because of knowing the story of His birth, He could see the prophecies within those scriptures that pertained to Him throughout His life. Jesus saw the truth of His birth in Bethlehem, yet being called a Nazarene living in the town of Nazareth. He understood the cries of the mothers around Him since all the boys His age were killed by Herod. Jesus' parents fled to Egypt and His family was called out of Rahmah. He knew the story and the scriptures.

Throughout Jesus' life He made the scriptures part of His life and they awakened every day as His human life unfolded around Him. But you can use the scriptures the same way, you know. They are about Jesus, but when you let Him into your life, you can understand the scriptures with authority because of His Spirit in you and confound those around you.
