<h2>summary</h2>

The Israelites departed from God in their wilderness journey for many of the same reasons we do. They saw the shiny gold and silver idols their neighboring nations worshiped and were enamoured by the glimmering metal. They couldn't see the God that created all things, including the gold and silver from which those idols were crafted, but they could see those shiny objects. We fall trap to the same thing. We chase the wrong things. We chase the things we can see instead of trusting God who we cannot see. Exercise your faith and know that the God of all creation can do the impossible. The shiny pieces of metal, or your name on the marquise, or an impressive business card doesn't last. And certainly doesn't impress God. Don't be like the Israelites. Chase God, not shiny toys.
