How will you read scripture? - Episode 38, Feb 7, 2015

summary

Almost anything can be proven or disproven with scripture depending on what parts you leave in or take out. Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness using scripture. Jesus used the same scriptures the Pharisees and Sadducees used. Paul and the Jews who stoned him all read from the same scriptures. Most of the churches that split and splinter and cause such confusion among non-believers today all claim to use the same written word of God. So how is it we fight so much among ourselves when we use the same book? Could it be because we just read the words and don't let God really talk to us through His word? Do we forget it is His word and not ours to interpret? Maybe it's time to take the Bible for what it is - God's Word!
