A daily devotional through the Bible speaking with God as Adam and Eve may have in the garden east of Eden. Our website http://alittlewalkwithgod.com
How would you like to have those words written about you? Limited strength, but obedient to God's word. True to His name. Loved by God. You endured and were patient. Those would be pretty good descriptors for anyone wanting to join God in His kingdom. When you look around this corrupt world and the enticements Satan throws in front of you every day, a description of your life like those God gave to the church at Philadelphia would feel pretty good.
What you must do, though, is walk through those open doors and leave those closed doors shut. The problem with many who say they want to follow Christ, they come to a closed door and start slamming their shoulder against it to burst through it. I don’t know if you’ve seen many doors that someone burst through, but there are always cracks and splinters and broken frames involved when you do that. You’ve just ruined the door. Jesus closes those doors for a reason. Those places aren’t good for you or at least aren’t good for you at that time. A closed door means stay out. Don't insist on going in.
